Licensed or not, you're welcome
✓ Licence provided
For guides with a government licence or guide association membership. Add the number and issuer; travellers see who issued it. We don't ask for documents, so bring your licence on trips in case a traveller asks.
Local expert
For people who know their area deeply without a formal licence: village trek leaders, food-walk hosts, birders. Travellers see clearly that you're not licensed, and choose.
Some places, such as national parks and restricted trekking areas, legally require a licensed guide. Only offer trips you're allowed to lead.
Guide code of conduct
- Describe yourself, your experience and your licence honestly. Don't use another guide's photos, licence or Instagram account.
- State your rates clearly and stick to the price you agree with a traveller.
- Don't ask for advance payments, deposits or bank transfers through messages. Agree the price, and get paid on the day.
- Keep travellers safe: plan within your experience, check weather and permits, and turn back when conditions are unsafe.
- Treat every traveller with respect. Harassment, discrimination or pressure of any kind gets a profile removed.
- Respect local laws, permits, parks and communities.
We remove profiles that break these rules. Report a problem to hello@wayfitly.com.
